Book Talk: 2013 Top 5 Most Anticipated Movie Adaptations

Happy New Year!!!! Let us kick-start 2013 with some really exciting stuff! What could be more exciting than book to movie adaptations? They might be awesome, they might be "boo" and this year, there are some highly anticipated adaptations!
Click to navigate to the Internet Movie Database(IMDB) for more information or add it to your to-read list on Goodreads!

1. City of Bones

City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1)First, we have City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. The movie starred Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower and Robert Sheehan and the trailer looks fantastic too! I really enjoyed the book and like everyone else, I am really excited!!!!!! (my book review over here... HEE HEE )

Be sure to read it if you haven't.
You. Must. Read. It.

In fact, I loved the trailer so much that I kept on replaying it.

2.Catching Fire

The book was pretty amazing and now, I hope that this movie would be as good! No trailers are released yet but we'll be waiting! ~

3. Beautiful Creatures

Beautiful Creatures (Caster Chronicles, #1)Next up, we have the movie Beautiful Creatures which is based on the first book in The Caster Chronicles, Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. This looks amazing although I felt the main characters look kind-of old to be in high-school. My copy is still sitting on my shelf and I need to get to it SOON!   :P

4. The Host

The Host is written by Stephanie Meyer and it got mixed reviews, hence I was not sure if I wanted to get the book. The 2nd movie trailer looked interesting though! And I like Saoirse Ronan.

5. Warm Bodies

I really need to get my hands on a copy of this book by Issac Marion. The movie trailer looks fabulous.FABULOUS!

  1. My copy of Beautiful Creatures is also untouched. Shame on me.

2014 seems like a good year too, as Divergent will be coming out according to IMDB :)

  2. Sooo excited for City of Bones and Warm Bodies. I'm super picky when it comes to character casting, but I feel like both of these movies got it right with the actors they chose. I can't wait! :)

    1. Yes, I actually didn't really like Jamie Campbell Bower to be Jace but he seems right for the part! :)
