Happy New Year!!!! Let us kick-start 2013 with some really exciting stuff! What could be more exciting than book to movie adaptations? They might be awesome, they might be "boo" and this year, there are some highly anticipated adaptations!

1. City of Bones
First, we have City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. The movie
starred Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower and Robert Sheehan and the
trailer looks fantastic too! I really enjoyed the book and like everyone
else, I am really excited!!!!!! (my book review over here... HEE HEE )Be sure to read it if you haven't.
You. Must. Read. It.
In fact, I loved the trailer so much that I kept on replaying it.
2.Catching Fire
The book was pretty amazing and now, I hope that this movie would be as good! No trailers are released yet but we'll be waiting! ~3. Beautiful Creatures
Next up, we have the movie Beautiful Creatures which is based on the first book in The Caster Chronicles, Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. This looks amazing although I felt the main characters look kind-of old to be in high-school. My copy is still sitting on my shelf and I need to get to it SOON! :P

My copy of Beautiful Creatures is also untouched. Shame on me.
ReplyDelete2014 seems like a good year too, as Divergent will be coming out according to IMDB :)
I am still waiting for Four to be casted! :)
DeleteSooo excited for City of Bones and Warm Bodies. I'm super picky when it comes to character casting, but I feel like both of these movies got it right with the actors they chose. I can't wait! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I actually didn't really like Jamie Campbell Bower to be Jace but he seems right for the part! :)
DeleteI'm super excited for all 5 of these too :) I think Warm Bodies looks amazing and Jamie Campbell Bower does nail it for Jace (at least in the trailer)! 2013 is an amazing year for YA movie adaptations, so glad you highlighted these :D
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I'm from Singapore too! See you around the blogosphere ;)
Yeah, I am really excited for all those adaptations!!!
DeleteIt's so cool that you are from Singapore! :)
Warm bodies looks awesome! Can't wait for that to hit theaters.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly! I really need to read it soon.
DeleteI am SUPER excited for all of these! I got to see an advanced screening of Warm Bodies and can assure you that the movie is just as amazing as we hoped it would be! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so lucky! I am so envious... Heehee
DeleteGlad to hear tat it was wonderful :)
